Bob Niemack was born in Pasadena, graduated from PHS, built a home in Altadena, moved to Studio City, and after trying out few other SoCal cities, has returned to Pasadena for the past 25 years. He is father to 4, grandfather to 8 (so far). Bob is filmmaker and a storyteller. For 50 years he has worked producing, directing, writing and editing stories about real people who are struggling, fightng, dreaming, mentoring, serving and achieving that have appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, PBS, HBO,Discovery Channel, Spike, Lifetime and TLC. He edited the Oscar and Emmy-winning documentary “Scared Straight!” His awards include 7 Emmys and a George Foster Peabody Award. Most recently he has produced and directed several projects for Griffith Observatory, including “Signs of Life”. He has served on the Board of the International Documentary Association, the board of the Pasadena Sister City Committee, and is currently serving on the board of the Occidental College 50-Year Alumni Club.
